Higher Education
Turner Law, P.C. has experience as counsel in issuances for colleges and universities. We have assisted underwriters in due diligence for 501(c)(3) educational institutions and have assisted such institutions in complying with their obligations under Rule 15c2-12. Our experience includes acting as counsel for new money issuances for residence halls, academic buildings, student life and campus centers, and athletic facilities as well as restructurings of variable rate debt and terminations of interest rate hedge agreements.

Student Loans
Our attorneys have acted as counsel in privately placed issuances of student loan asset backed notes to finance loans for college students under the federal family education loan program. In these transactions investors purchase notes used to finance student loans. The notes are issued by a trust and secured by student loan repayments. In our capacity as counsel we have assisted in the preparation of trust indentures, placement memorandums, placement agreements and certificates and legal opinions required to issue the notes. We have represented counsel in the preparation and response to due diligence and have assisted in responding to and drafting rating agency reports.
